Alfa-FTOR uses accumulated scientific achievements, developing and improving science and production
Alfa-FTOR, a regular exhibitor at the exhibition, pays great attention to the scientific aspect of its activities, regularly inviting researchers and developers to the exhibition. In addition to producing a wide range of fluoroelastomers and fusible fluoropolymers, components for their processing, vulcanising and processing additives, Alfa-FTOR actively carries out research.
Sergey Andreev, Director General at Alfa-FTOR, told us more about the company and its main areas of work,
“Our company was founded by top specialists in the field of production, processing and application of fluoropolymers. The fundamentals of this science were developed back in Soviet times, and today we use the best achievements in our work. We not only use them, but also develop them. This year our stand is attended by different generations from students to leading developers and scientists. We have accumulated a rich scientific and industrial experience in the development of new polymer compositions, rubber mixtures with unique properties for various purposes and processing of rubbers and polymer materials.
“Our customers include top manufacturers of components for a wide range of industries: automotive and aerospace, petroleum, chemical, cable, medical, electronics and many others. One of our important activities is the development and creation of fluoroelastomers for seals, hoses, valves in industrial equipment for petrochemistry. Modern wells are deeper with more aggressive media that require high quality and high chemical resistance of all seals. For the automotive industry, we offer auto hoses, fuel hoses, diaphragms, collars, filter gaskets, sealing elements and oil seals, oil caps, valve seals and cylinder seals.
“Each time the exhibition provides us with new impetus. This year, we see that a large number of Chinese colleagues came to the exhibition, and it was interesting to get acquainted with their products and technologies. This certainly stimulates us and gives us new knowledge. Of course, we are constantly developing ourselves, taking part in international forums. For the coming year, our goal is to continue developing fluoroelastomers and fluoropolymers, including those for very low temperatures.”
