Post Show Report Tires & Rubber 2022
The 24th edition of the International Exhibition for Rubber Goods, Tires, Their Production, Raw Materials and Equipment, Tires & Rubber, has become an important event for manufacturers, suppliers and users of tires and rubber products.
The ongoing relevance of the show for the industry community was confirmed by the quantity and quality of the exhibits as well as the level of visitors. The exhibitors presented product innovations to a wide audience of visitors, found new customers, studied offers of their competitors, held important business meetings, and established promising contacts.
The visitors were able to see the exhibited equipment in operation and receive detailed advice. In addition to presenting new products, experts of exhibiting companies also spoke about promising materials and technologies, helped choose the right equipment and materials, and provided advice on all questions of possible cooperation.

Conference programme
The central event of the conference programme was the 2nd Tires and Rubber International Forum, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO.
The forum’s plenary session was devoted to the status and prospects of the Russian tire and rubber industry, building new supply chains, import substitution, government support and the environment. Darya Shevyakina, Head at the Department of Chemical and Technological Industry and Bioengineering Technologies of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, spoke about the current state support mechanisms and the anti-crisis measures taken by the ministry. A report made by Anton Akimov, Deputy Chair at the Committee for Economic Integration and Foreign Economic Activity in the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Head of GR at Cordiant AO, was devoted to relevant issues in foreign trade in tires and rubber products, and prospects of import substitution. Mr. Akimov stressed the importance of raw material supply issues, in particular the provision of specialty chemicals to the tire and rubber industry. Pavel Dolgov, Vice President at the Association of Exporters and Importers, spoke about exports and imports in the current environment, and new areas of supply and procurement. Oksana Polyanskaya, Head at the Single Window Center at ANO Soyuzexpertiza of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, devoted her report to tools for supporting foreign trade. Yury Trofimenko, President at the Tire Ecology Association, spoke about prospects and challenges for the tire recycling industry. The plenary session was also attended by Regina Budarina, Deputy Chair at the Russian-Vietnamese Friendship Society, and Lubarto Sartoy, Investment Advisor to the Indonesian Ambassador in Russia. They spoke about the prospects of trade cooperation with Vietnam and Indonesia in the tire and rubber industries, and the development of supply chains between these countries and Russia.
Discussion on how to preserve and restore the industry’s potential in Russia was continued at the Panel on the Current State and Prospects of the Russian Tire and Rubber Market, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with NIITEKHIM OAO.
The discussion’s participants were experts from NIITEKHIM, representatives of the Russian Chemists Union, the Industrial Development Fund, and different enterprises of the tire and rubber industry. A detailed analysis of the Russian tire and synthetic rubber market was presented in reports of Research Director at NIITEKHIM Diana Kudryashova and Deputy Head at the Department of the Market and Development of the Chemical Industry and Gas Products at NIITEKHIM Yulia Semina.
Anton Akimov, Head of GR at Cordiant AO, spoke about the main problems of Russian tire manufacturers, ways to solve them and prospects of development of the tire industry under the sanctions. Galina Grigoryan, Head of Research at the Research Institute of Synthetic Rubbers, presented the realities and prospects of the Russian market of synthetic rubbers. Sergey Lagutin, Department of Industrial Policy at the Industrial Development Fund, spoke about new possibilities of financing and supporting projects of tire manufacturers. The topic of government support for tire exporters under sanctions affecting consumers of rubber goods attracted special attention.
Another important event was the Master Class on Foreign Trade in Tires and Rubber Products in the Current Environment. The event was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with the Association of Exporters and Importers, and ANO Soyuzexpertiza of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was held in a hybrid format with foreign participants.
The first Panel on the Life Cycle of Car Tires was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (MADI). The participants discussed the operating conditions of car tires and the factors affecting their durability. They also assessed technologies for processing crumb rubber and for the use of crumb rubber in materials for transport construction.
The panel was attended by Russian and foreign researchers, manufacturers and consumers of crumb rubber, and representatives of industry associations. The event aroused great interest among participants and visitors and was accompanied by a lively discussion.
The conference programme also included the Panel on Relevant Issues in Tire Labelling and a number of other events.
