Tires & Rubber 2024 is an important spring event for the Russian tire and rubber industry and market.

The show’s exhibitors demonstrated rubber products and new technological solutions, held meetings with potential customers, found new partners and concluded favourable contracts for the coming year. Its conference programme featured many events where leading industry experts spoke about current market trends and challenges facing the Russian industry of rubber products.

Conference programme
The conference programme presented the 4th Tire and Rubber International Forum. This year’s key topics were the state and prospects of the Russian tire and rubber market, advanced analytical control methods, and foreign trade in the current environment.
The programme was opened with the Session on Logistics and Foreign Economic Activity in the Tire and Rubber Industry, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the participation of Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. The event was moderated by Yulia Averina, Head at the Logistics and Economic Informatics Department of Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
The experts discussed the volume and trends of the tire and rubber market, the industry's current needs for raw materials and equipment, and opportunities for supplies from abroad amid economic turbulence. A representative of Quehenberger Logistics RUS made a presentation on the specifics of tire storage and transportation. Maxim Astapenkov, Deputy Head at the Directorate of International Relations of the Corporation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and Oksana Polyanskaya, Head at the Single Window Centre of Soyuzexpertiza ANO of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spoke about the services of their companies that assist Russian businesses in effectively managing foreign economic activity in today's realities. The programme’s another important event was the 12th Russian Rubber Conference: Traditions and Innovations, organised by the Elastomers Association with the assistance of EXPOCENTRE AO.
The conference welcomed more than 150 participants, who included developers, manufacturers and consumers of rubbers, elastomer materials and products.
The event’s moderator Sergey Reznichenko, Director at the Research Center of Innovative Polymer Materials and Products of MIREA – Russian Technological University, Chair at the Conference Organising Committee, drew special attention to the fact that today our industry has an opportunity to master domestic developments and engage in fundamental research.
The plenary session was attended by the representatives of Sibur, PolyLab Nizhnekamsk, PolyLab Voronezh, Research Institute of Synthetic Rubber, and Fidesys.
The sectional sessions included presentations aimed at solving relevant problems facing elastomer science and technology. The sessions were attended by representatives of Volgograd State Technical University, Reshetnyov Siberian State University of Science and Technology, Research Institute of Synthetic Rubber, Russian Scientific and Research Institute of Cable Industry (VNIIKP), Research Institute of Rubber and Polymer Products (NIIR), MIREA – Russian Technological University, Lider-AV, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, SPURT, Polymerteplo Group, and other leading Russian companies.
The Gallery of Solutions for the Tire and Rubber Industry was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO. The exhibitors presented their new products, services and developments to the audience. Presentations were given by representatives of Sibur, Komed, Sever Avto, Lexor, and others. Watch the event recording
Another event of the conference programme of Tires & Rubber 2024 was the Technical Conference on Testing and Analytical Methods for Rubbers, Elastomers and Silicones. The event was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and the World of Petroleum Products Journal. Industry experts highlighted various topics related to the production of rubber products, gave practical examples of responsible choice of equipment and devices for the control of raw materials and finished products in the new market conditions, talked about quality control at all stages of rubber compound development according to customer requirements, etc.
Reports were made by directors and chief experts of AAC Analitica, PolyLab Voronezh, the Centre for Testing, Certification and Standardisation of Functional Materials and Technologies, and ScienTific.
The speakers of the Session on Tire Waste Management Using Circular Economy Principles addressed the issue of estimating annual tire waste generation and discussed tire recovery and recycling technologies. The event was held with the participation of the Tire Ecology Association.
The Workshop on the Market of Car and Truck Tire in Russia and Its Changes from 2021 also attracted a lot of attention. The event was organised by Sever Avto (SAM-MB).
Tires & Rubber 2024 was a success and once again became a showcase of accomplishments and new opportunities for the tire and rubber industry.
